You are Not Anemic
Iron overload is rampant in our society. Anyone who has been told they're anemic is most likely high in iron. There’s a big misconception about iron this day in age. We’ve been taught that people are anemic. But it’s actually the opposite. Iron is stuck in the tissues and it’s not in the blood. This is why ferritin markers often come back as low on a blood test (ferritin only measures the iron in the blood). Mismanaged iron creates rust and rust is what ages us. When iron is out of control, the body gets it out of the blood and puts it into the tissues as a self preservation mechanism.
Symptoms present such as hypothyroidism, obesity, autism, anxiety, stomach issues, autoimmune conditions etc. Low ferritin does not mean you need more iron but it’s a sign you have inflammation, low minerals, and your iron is stuck in the wrong places. Iron fortification has been occuring in the food industry since the 1940’s. Iron is put into our multi and prenatal vitamins. It's in our breads, cereals, baby foods, flour, hamburger buns, pita bread etc. Iron is everywhere and I am willing to bet that you are not anemic.
When you work with me, we get to the root of what's happening. We figure out why your iron is not regulating it self and why the symptoms are showing up. This is root cause healing. Simply taking iron does not solve the issue and overtime it can certainly make things worse.
