Insight: How you arrived to adrenal fatigue
Adrenal fatigue is on the rise, and it is from our stressful, modern day lifestyle. Burnout occurs when the adrenal glands become overburdened by excess cortisol release and can no longer produce the levels of cortisol (and other hormones) necessary to maintain optimal health.
If you have an anemia diagnosis then you have adrenal fatigue. Anemia is a symptom of a much larger issue going on in your body. Likewise, if you've ever supplemented with vitamin D, then you have adrenal fatigue. The labwork that I run has proved this time and time again. Certain supplements eventually cause more harm than good, and iron and vitamin D are two of them. Let's be honest...you're taking iron righ now and do you actually feel better? Are your symptoms and energy levels improving? Most likely, no. That's why you're on my page. We want to correct this imbalance since adrenal glands support the liver and are extremely important. The adrenal glands produce over fifty hormones, sometimes up to 50 percent of women’s progesterone and estrogen. Did you hear that? Progesterone and estrogen are produced in our adrenal glands. So those of you going through perimenopause, wonky cycles, insomnia, depression, anxiety or infertility most likely have hormonal and adrenal issues. We can fix all of this and if you're curious how to get started here's some more information.
Common symptoms of adrenal fatigue include:
poor stress response...this looks like anger, irratability, overwhelm and inability to regulate mood.
brain fog
still tired upon waking and crashes through out the day, especially in the afternoom
increased energy levels in the evenings (tired and wired)
cravings for salty and/or sweet foods
dependence on caffeine and other stimulants
compromised immune system (feeling rundown)
trouble sleeping
decreased libido
depression
anxiety
When you work with me, we address adrenal fatigue and solutions that fit your lifestyle. However, these quick fix solutions don't always fully correct the issue. The solution to adrenal fatigue is not just an adrenal cocktail. Nor is it always adding in things like supplements and a meditation class. Realizing that adrenal fatigue is a pattern typically formed at a young age of self-neglect and depletion. When you know this we can dig to resolve the underlying issues. This pattern looks different on everybody and together we can figure out your stress pattern and break the cycle. Of course we can (and will) support the physical body but if we don’t address the deep–rooted beliefs and patterns that cause physical depletion and self-neglect, we will never uncover the root of our chronic depletion and adrenal fatigue.
I would love to help you resolve your adrenal fatigue and chronic symptoms. This is what it looks like towork with me.
