Iron Dysregulation

This is a very important dynamic to understand: iron is the metal that ages us. It’s what’s behind oxidative stress. It’s also the trigger for the loss of magnesium that leads to inflammation. Our foods have been "fortified" with iron since the 1940s. Meaning you'll find iron in conventional breads, baby formula, and cereals. It's in our multi and prenatal vitamins. From a root cause perspective, iron causes rust when it's not managed correctly. And we're all being exposed to too much iron! We need important minerals, like magnesium, to manage this excess iron. If you have anemia, then we should talk. I know that I can help you!

Iron Dysregulation

Iron is more than just a nutrient; it’s actually a metal that contributes to aging and oxidative stress in our bodies. It’s also responsible for depleting magnesium, which can lead to inflammation. Since the 1940s, many of our foods—like breads, cereals, baby formula, and even multivitamins—have been fortified with iron. When iron isn’t managed well, it essentially causes ‘rust’ in the body. The truth is, most of us are exposed to too much iron, and it takes essential minerals, like magnesium, to handle this excess. If you’ve been struggling with anemia, let’s talk. I know I can help you get to the root of i

Tired of being tired? There's more to the story.

  • Anemia isn't as simple as taking more iron. If it were, wouldn't you be feeling awesome? Taking iron for the rest of your life isn't a root cause plan.
  • Anemia can cause insomnia.
  • Low vitamin D is an indication of anemia but supplementing with vitamin D (or iron) will not heal your low iron.
  • Perimenopause is rampant and comes on too early in women. This can be due to mismanaged iron in the body. Hormone Replacement Therapy does not get to the root cause, but regulating and balancing your minerals can.
  • Moles, acne, heavy periods, and frequent fevers are signs of iron overload, not low iron.
  • Eye problems (styes, infections, poor vision, red eyes) can be helped with this work and point to a retinol deficiency which is crucial to managing your iron.
  • Thyroid issues are an indication of low bioavailable copper which is mandatory for managing iron.
  • Frequent cavities are a sign of low magnesium and low magnesium is often a side effect of anemia.
  • Grey hair/hair loss is an indication of low copper and low iron but we don't improve this conditon with more iron.
  • Headaches and migraines can be helped with minerals and often are a symptom of anemia. Put cream of tartar under your tongue (high in potassium) at onset to help because K is a mineral.
